Editorial Policy
BuyerGuard Health publishes independent buyer research on dietary supplements. This page explains the rules our guides follow and what they do not claim to be.
Independence
We do not make, sell, distribute or ship any product we write about. Our guides are written to help a buyer understand a product and its seller before buying, not to sell it.
Some of our pages contain affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when a reader buys through one. That is a commercial incentive, and we disclose it. Affiliate relationships do not determine our editorial conclusions: a guide may report negative findings, unresolved conflicts, missing information, refund limitations, shipping uncertainty, label limitations and the limits of the scientific evidence for a product we earn a commission on. We do not remove or soften a finding to keep or obtain a commission. How affiliate links work is explained in ourAffiliate Disclosure.
Seller claims are attributed
Statements from sales pages, seller FAQs, terms, affiliate materials and product labels are attributed to where they come from, such as "What is claimed" by the seller or what the label declares. A seller's statement is not presented as an independently established fact. Our own conclusions are labelled as BuyerGuard Health findings, so a reader can tell who is saying what.
Uncertainty is stated, not filled in
When we cannot confirm something, we say so with plain terms such as "not disclosed", "not verified", "not found" or "unclear". Unknown does not mean false, and we do not guess amounts, strains, dates or policies to make a page look complete.
Conflicting sources are shown
When sources disagree, for example a sales page and a refund page, or a label and a seller FAQ, we report the disagreement and show each version with its source instead of silently choosing one.
Evidence limits
We separate research on a finished product from research on its individual ingredients. A study of an ingredient does not show that a product containing it has the same effect. We say when we did not find a study of the finished product in the searches we performed, which is not the same as saying no study exists. OurResearch Methodology explains how we look.
Health information
Our guides are informational buyer research. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and they are not reviewed by a physician. For decisions about your own health, including whether a supplement suits you, talk to a qualified healthcare professional.
Updates and completeness
Guides describe what we checked on the dates shown on each page. Seller offers, labels and terms can change after that, and a guide may not cover everything about a product. We update guides when we recheck them or learn of a material change; see our Corrections Policy.
